  • 1 package refrigerated pie crusts for a flaky, buttery base
Filling
  • 1 lb ground beef or ground turkey a filling protein option
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped adds flavor and sweetness
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced enhances the savory profile
  • 1 cup beef broth provides rich moisture
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce brings a tangy depth
  • 1 tsp salt essential for seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp pepper for a subtle kick
  • 1 cup mixed vegetables (optional) adds color and nutrition
  • 1 egg beaten (for egg wash) gives a golden finish to the crust

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the pie crust on a floured surface.
  3. Cut circles from the pie crust to fit into muffin tin cups.
Cooking
  1. In a skillet, heat a small amount of oil over medium heat.
  2. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic; cook until soft.
  3. Add the ground meat and cook until browned throughout.
  4. Pour in beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper; stir well.
  5. Simmer the mixture for about 5 minutes to blend flavors.
  6. If you’re adding mixed vegetables, stir them in and remove from heat.
  7. Spoon the meat mixture into each prepared muffin tin cup.
  8. Place another pie crust circle on top of each filled cup.
  9. Seal the edges by pressing with a fork; make a small slit in the center.
  10. Brush the tops with the beaten egg for a golden finish.
  11. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until they are golden brown.
  12. Let them cool slightly before removing from the tin and serving.
