Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Roll out the pie crust on a floured surface.
- Cut circles from the pie crust to fit into muffin tin cups.
Cooking
- In a skillet, heat a small amount of oil over medium heat.
- Add the chopped onion and minced garlic; cook until soft.
- Add the ground meat and cook until browned throughout.
- Pour in beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper; stir well.
- Simmer the mixture for about 5 minutes to blend flavors.
- If you’re adding mixed vegetables, stir them in and remove from heat.
- Spoon the meat mixture into each prepared muffin tin cup.
- Place another pie crust circle on top of each filled cup.
- Seal the edges by pressing with a fork; make a small slit in the center.
- Brush the tops with the beaten egg for a golden finish.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until they are golden brown.
- Let them cool slightly before removing from the tin and serving.
Notes
Serve with sides like a fresh salad or dipping sauces for added flavor. These pies can be made ahead and frozen for convenience.
